I have changed the local bands from the surrounding area of Old Mossley to bands in Newtownabbey.We have 8 bands in our local area who are all trying to attract new members, but with the amount of bands in such a small area this can be quite difficult.

We hope that all of the local bands can keep going and help maintain our Ulster/Protestant heritage in Newtownabbey.

New Mossley Volunteers F.B
This band started in the latter part of 2000, i have seen them in many parades and they performed very well each time.The band looked well in their uniforms with matching balmoral hats.They have quite a large band,with 6 drummers and over 20 fluters.


Pride Of The Hill F.B Carnmoney
This band started a number of years ago and have proved to be an excellent band,they have a very smart black uniform.They have paraded in both the Belfast and Scottish 12th Celebrations and at many band competitions across Ulster.


Glengormley Defenders F.B
This is another band that has formed in Queens Park and they are called the Glengormley Defenders F.B and we would like to wish them every success in the future.


Newtownabbey Fusiliers F.B.
This is a new band formed in Newtownabbey,they are called the Newtownabbey Fusiliers F.B. they are based in the Ballyduff Estate. The Crown Defenders F.B. would like to wish them every success for the future..

Pride Of Whiteabbey F.B
The Pride Of Whiteabbey were formed in 1983. With a few break up's and the name of the band changing, they are back on the road. Not counting the break up's they are celebrating their 20th year. They have been known as "Pride Of Whiteabbey" and "Whiteabbey Protestant Boys".Now known as the Pride Of Whiteabbey, the Crown Defenders Old Mossley wish them all the best for the future.


Cloughfern Young Conquerors F.B
This band has been going for over thirty years. They are a full Blood And Thunder Band. The Crown Defenders would like to wish them all the best for the next thirty years.


Monkstown Y.C.V F.B
This band have been going for a number of years and gone from strenght to strenght. They have grown rapidly in the last few months. The Crown Defenders would like to wish them all the best for the future.


Colin Caldwell Memorial F.B
This band has been going for a few years. They are known as the "Sons Of The Kai" meaning the Rathcoole KAI F.B, that are no longer around, but the founding members of the CCMFB are old members of the KAI F.B. The Crown Defenders wish them all the best for the future.
